Randy L. Beenblossom of Cozad passed away Wednesday, March 12, 2025 at Cozad Community Hospital at the age of 74. Randy was born August 15, 1950 at Lexington, Nebraska to Delpha and Florence (Weible) Beenblossom.
Randy lived a full life, serving in the U.S. Marine Corps right after high school. He married Angie Loving on August 20, 1973, but later divorced. They were blessed with 3 sons, Austin, Keith and David. Randy dedicated many years of his career to driving a feed truck until his well-deserved retirement.
He was a devoted family man, marrying Glenda Johnson on November 13, 1992, in Lexington, Nebraska. Their union was blessed with 2 daughters, Erica and Jackie. Together, they shared many cherished moments.
Outside of work, Randy was an avid Denver Broncos fan and had a particular love for race cars. He not only enjoyed watching races but also drove a mini sprint car and actively supported other race car drivers. Randy had a passion for going to tractor pulls and was a long-standing member of a bowling league in Lexington, where he made countless friends. Randy will be remembered for his warm spirit and love for his hobbies, leaving behind fond memories for those who knew him.
Randy was preceded in death by his parents; step father, Claude “Buster” Tappan; son, David Beenblossom; brothers, Dennis Beenblossom and Tom Beenblossom; and sister, Jacqueline “Jackie” Meier.
Survivors include his wife of 32 years, Glenda Beenblossom of Cozad; daughters, Erica Beenblossom of Cozad and Jackie (Jack) Beenblossom of Grand Island; sons, Austin (Tami) Beenblossom of Lincoln and Keith (Amanda) Beenblossom of Lincoln; brother, Doug (Carol) Beenblossom of North Gulf Port, MS; sister, Rhonda Vincent of Tucumcari, NM; sister in law, Lila Beenblossom of Cozad; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Memorials are suggested to the family for later designation. Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 22, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at the Berryman Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Keith Strasburger officiating. Burial will follow at Cozad Cemetery. Visitation with family present will be Friday, March 21, 2025 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Berryman Funeral Home.
