Rigoberto Rodriguez Sanchez

Rigoberto Rodriguez Sanchez of Cozad passed away Wednesday, July 26, 2023 at Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha at the age of 64. Rigoberto was born March 30, 1959 to in Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua, México to Manuel Rodriguez Del Rio and Maria Ema Sanchez. He married Lourdes Lorena Solis de Rodriguez on May 28, 1983. Their union was blessed with two daughters, Emma and Rosa. Rigoberto and Lorena also raised their niece and nephew, Maria Arcelia Rodriguez Ibarra and Manuel Rodriguez Ibarra. They lived in California before moving to Albion, Nebraska in 1996. The family moved to Cozad in July of 1997. Rigoberto was a soccer fanatic, his favorite team was El America. He enjoyed cooking and BBQ. He was a strong, simple man, and had a fierce love for his family. Rigoberto was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Samuel Rodriguez Sanchez, Manuel Rodriguez Sanchez and Maria Arcelia Rodriguez Sanchez. He is lovingly survived by his wife, Lourdes Lorena Solis de Rodriguez; daughters, Emma (Alfredo) Cruz and Rosa Rodriguez (Carlos Rodriguez); grandchildren, Kevin Cruz, Aysha Cruz; nephew and niece, Manuel Rodriguez Ibarra and Maria Arcelia Rodriguez Ibarra.

Private services will be held. Memorials are directed to the family for later designation. Berryman Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
