Robert Eugene Dunmire

Memorial book signing with family present will be held Saturday, June 24, 2023 from 2 pm to 4 pm at Berryman Funeral Home. Graveside service at Fort McPherson National Cemetery will be held at a later date. Memorials are suggested to the family for later designation. 

Robert E. Dunmire of Cozad passed away Monday, June 19, 2023 at Great Plains Health in North Platte at the age of 60. Robert was born May 1, 1963 in North Platte, Nebraska to Gary and Beverly (Parker) Dunmire. Robert attended school in Gothenburg, Nebraska and Emporia, Kansas. He enlisted in the U.S. Army. Robert was blessed with 3 children, Brad, Dan and Aimee. The family lived various places before making their home in Cozad in 2008. He worked several jobs and always took great pride in what he did, always giving 100%. Robert spent his life trying to make everyone laugh, always telling jokes. He said the world was too serious. He was a devoted father and grandfather. Robert loved heavy metal and 80’s hair band music and he enjoyed playing the electric guitar. Robert was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Gary Dean Dunmire; and nephew, T.J. Coffey. Survivors include his children, Brad (Amy) Dunmire of Scottsbluff, Dan (Brandy-Jo) Dunmire of VA and Aimee Dunmire of VA; grandchildren, Peter Dunmire and Naomi Dunmire of Scottsbluff, Aidan Felton and Kaylee Webster of VA; brother, Steve Dunmire of Gothenburg; sisters, Deb Coffey of Gothenburg, and Tricia (E.J.) Nix of Lexington; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and extended family.
