Roger Lee Woodside

Roger Lee Woodside of Cozad, Nebraska passed away Tuesday January 11, 2022 at his daughter’s home in Fairbury, NE at the age of 79. Roger was born in Lexington, Nebraska on March 18, 1942 to Eldon and Esther (McKelvey) Woodside. He graduated from Cozad High School in 1960. On November 12, 1961 he married Sharron Jeanette Gould in Cozad, Nebraska. Roger and Sherry were blessed with 2 girls Lauri and Melinda. Roger loved photography, he was passionate about fishing and never missed a Husker Volleyball game. Due to his cancer, Roger has spent the last 4 years at his daughters home in Fairbury, Nebraska. With the help of Hospice care he was able to stay at home with his family. Roger was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Stanley. Roger is survived by his daughters Lauri (Patrick) Hoins of Fairbury, NE and Melinda Harvey of Sonoma, CA; one grandson Anthony Fingerhut of Elkhorn, NE and one great granddaughter Aubrey Fingerhut of Wahoo, NE.

Memorials are suggested to the family in his name for later designation. Services will be held Friday, January 21, 2022 at 2 p.m. at Berryman Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Doug Gahn officiating.
