Ronald D. Morehead of Cozad passed away Saturday, October 17, 2020 at Centennial Park Retirement Village in North Platte, Nebraska at the age of 73. Ron was born November 19, 1946 at North Platte, Nebraska to Louis and Hazel (Deal) Morehead. He grew up on a farm in NW Hayes County. The family lived in a sod house until he was 11 yrs. old. Ron love spending time with his dad and learning new things. He attended Deerfield Country School through 8th grade and Hayes Center High School where he graduated with the class of 1966. Ron moved to Cozad after graduating and started working for Monroe Auto. After working there for several years, he went to work for Goshen Rubber in Gothenburg, Nebraska until his retirement in 2011. He met the love of his life, Patsy Eberline, in Cozad and the couple were married on September 7, 1973. His love for Patsy was unending. With her health condition, he was a devoted care taker to her until her passing in 2012. Ron love woodworking and remodeled his home. He loved his family, enjoyed visiting with people and never knew a stranger. He loved helping out and standing up for and being a peacemaker for people who needed a hand. Ron honored his faith in God and was a member of the Church of Christ in Cozad and Lexington. Ron was preceded in death by his parents and his wife. He is survived by his sister, Janice (Rich) Manary of North Platte, NE; 2 nephews, Jeff Manary of North Platte, NE and Matt (Stacey) Manary of Kearney, NE; 2 great nieces, China Sinclair and Carsyn Manary; 1 great nephew, Easton Manary; close friend, Nathan Rhea of Lexington and numerous friends and church family. Memorials are suggested to the family in his memory for later designation. Online condolences may be shared at berrymanfuneralhome.com. Services will be Wednesday, October 21, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at the Berryman Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Nathan Rhea officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday from 9 am to 10 am prior to the service. Burial will follow at Cozad Cemetery. Masks are required. Berryman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
