Scott D. Lindstedt, 61 of Cozad, Nebraska - At first light on Saturday morning, the opening day of deer season, Scott joined his hunting buddies that went before him. He passed away November 16th, 2024 surrounded by his family during his courageous eight year battle with cancer.
Scott was born on August 18th, 1963, in Cozad, Nebraska to Gordon and “Babe” (Jensen) Lindstedt. He graduated from Cozad High School in 1981 and earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Management from the University of Nebraska at Kearney. He began his career at Cozad Telephone Company as a summer job after graduation and continued with CTC for 40 continuous years. Scott was a dedicated employee who cared about his coworkers, community, and family. He worked hard for all of them and enjoyed it.
Scott married Tracy Franzen in 1990. Their union was blessed by two children, Sydney Noel and Jake Nicholas. Scott cherished his family and took immense pride in being a dad.
Scott was a long time member of the Cozad Elks Lodge. He enjoyed hunting of many kinds and was an avid football fan, frequently tailgating with friends during Husker games. He enjoyed racing and would often help friends with their cars. Scott and Tracy passed on their interests and gained many more through raising their children, which they valued above all. Scott was an incredible dad. He will be missed by so many who knew and/or loved him.
