Sharon J. Call

Sharon J. Call of Cozad passed away Wednesday, May 8, 2024 at Emerald Care Nursing at the age of 85. Sharon was born March 11, 1939 in Grand Island, Nebraska to Russell F. and Edna A. (Arndt) Roenfeldt. She was the only girl, with three brothers. The family enjoyed time at their cabin at Ericson Lake. Many memories were made there.

Sharon married Larry Medley in 1956. Their union was blessed with three wonderful children. She married Ralph Keiswetter in 1975 and was blessed with three beautiful daughters. In 2003 Sharon married Dennis Call.

Sharon loved to cook and bake. She made the best food, always so perfect, every year making tons of Christmas candy and cookies. She enjoyed gardening and mowing the lawn. Evening time was supper and drinks to chill.

She worked at Southview Manor Care Center for many years as the dietary manager and later at Walmart in North Platte for a number of years.

Sharon absolutely cherished family. The visits from the kids brightened every day. The joy she got from watching and hearing about the grand babies. The great brand babies were so precious to her, she even managed to have one born on her birthday makes it a plus! Her favorite story to tell anyone is that of the speed stick.

Mom, we saw you were getting weak, and it was hurting, you took a piece of every one of us when you left. Like dad said, mom was dreaming of visiting heaven and after passing the gates, she decided to stay. Rest easy mama!!

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Dick and Toby Roenfeldt; husband, Dennis Call; and special niece, Michelle Brown.

Sharon is survived by her 6 children, Troy (Sandra) Medley, Theresa Ippolito, Vicki (Martin) Blackburn, Tysen Keiswetter, Tyrene (Michael) Maack and Desiree Huertas; grandchildren, Tori, Tammy, Michael, Amy Joshua, Charla, Jennifer, Kenny, Tiffany, Brandie, Samantha, Tanner, Corey, Tyler, Taylor, Joey, Dallas, Jazmine, Alex and Jayda; many great and great great grandchildren; brother, Robert (Connie) Roenfeldt; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorials are suggested to the family for later designation. Private family burial will be held at a later date.
