Terry Laverne Kruse Sr.

Terry L. Kruse Sr. passed away July 16, 2022 at his home in Cozad at the age of 68. Terry was born January 6, 1954 in Cozad, Nebraska to Wilbert and Esther (Sheets) Kruse. He grew up on a farm in Custer County and attended country school in Rotten Valley until it closed. He then attended Gothenburg school thru 8th grade and then transferred to Cozad for the remainder of his education. He met Vicky Lynn Mladek at Hay Days in September of 1968. They were married on July 24, 1971 and were blessed with four children, Terry Jr., Tricia, Jon and Cody. Terry was a skilled carpenter and self employed at Kruse Construction. He enjoyed hunting, golfing, playing pool and flipping houses. Terry was preceded in death by his parents; infant brother, Rickey, brother Gary, brother Gene and sister-in-law Maria Kruse. Survivors include his children his children Terry (Becky) Kruse Jr. of Hunting Beach, CA, Tricia Kruse of Cozad, Jon Kruse of Cozad and Cody Kruse of Cozad; sister Sandy (Marvin) Tabor of Kimball; brother Quinten Kruse of Cozad and sister-in-law Angie Kruse of Gothenburg; grandchildren, Kayla and Nathan Kruse, Kaden Kruse, Addyson and Cyle Kruse; and many other extended family and friends.

Memorials are suggested to the family in his name for later designation. Online condolences may be shared at berrymanfuneralhome.com. Cremation was chosen. A memorial service will be held Friday, July 22, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at the Berryman Funeral Home Chapel with Harvey Pierce officiating. Inurnment will follow at Cozad Cemetery. Those wishing to sign the memorial book may do so on Thursday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Berryman Funeral Home.
