William Robert Alexander

March 24, 1995 — September 2, 2021

William Robert Alexander (Billy), age 26 of Cozad, Nebraska, passed away on Thursday, September 2, 2021, at his home in Cozad. William was born in Saginaw, Michigan to Regina L. Alexander. He grew up in Cozad, Nebraska, but always held true to his Michigan roots. You could ask him where home was and he would proudly tell you Michigan. He loved the Wolverines and was always rooting for them, even when they would go up against the Huskers. His children were his greatest passion in life. He was a natural father, and that shone through when he was with them. All three of his children were his pride and joy’s, and it wasn’t uncommon for him to be seen hugging on them, or chasing them around in the backyard. William had many hobbies, among them being his love for cooking. He was always cooking up “concoctions” in the kitchen. At times they seemed so farfetched, and you couldn’t imagine how these flavors could possibly pair well together, but they always did. He was also an avid gamer. Racing games were his favorite and he was proud of his high stats. He loved cars and he shared that love with his children. He was a fan of the Fast and Furious movies. And the latest in the series, “Fast 9” really spoke to William’s soul. He loved the message about family that movie portrayed. Music was a part of his soul and he always seemed to have a new song to share. He was an artist in many ways, whether that be his freestyling to a beat, picking up a pen, or drawing with the chalk in the backyard with his children. William was a unique soul. He didn’t let anyone else influence him, and wasn’t afraid to be his true self. He was always there any time he was needed, without even asking questions. He had a big heart and a smile that was unforgettable. He would extend a hand of friendship to anyone. He did not care who you were. He had a FULL personality and was always seen smiling. He had a quirky sense of humor and could make you laugh even when you were upset, in fact, that was a specialty of his. He was a wise guy and always cracking jokes and smiling. Or smirking. It was hard to be in his presence and not end up laughing at some point. He was infectious like that. He loved with his whole heart, and when he would hug you, you could feel that love, and warmth. William is survived by his Brother Timothy Alexander of Cozad NE, his life partner, Megan Buss of Cozad, a sister, Ashley of Michigan, and his three children, Sawyer, Anthony, and Lennox. He is also survived by his grandmother, Patricia Leonard, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. William is. preceded in death by his mother, Regina Hill in 2015, his brother Anthony Hill in 2015, his grandfather Dennis Alexander in 2015, another grandfather, Steve Clouse in 2009, and a half-brother, Steven Clouse in 2005. Memorials are suggested to the family in his name for later designation. Cremation was chosen and a Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 10, 2021 at the Berryman Funeral Home Chapel with Harvey Pierce officiating. There will be no book signing.
